Do you also have such troubles: even if you wash your hair every day, dandruff is still like a white “snowflake”, embedded in a large area between your hair; if you move a little, it falls on your shoulders, which is particularly embarrassing; even your life and jobs will be affected…

Where do these annoying dandruffs come from? How should we “kill” them? Common “anti-dandruff shampoos”? How to choose?

Today I will talk to you about dandruff~

Where does dandruff come from?

Dandruff is actually keratinocytes that slough off the scalp. In the process of metabolism of human head epidermal cells, the dry dead cells are scaly or flaky and fall off automatically, which is called dandruff.

Bad living habits, such as frequent scratching of the head and irregular work and rest, lead to rapid metabolism of the stratum corneum of the scalp, caking and falling off.

When dandruff occurs, it is important to wash your hair frequently and maintain a balanced scalp environment. But with so many shampoos on the market, which one is more suitable when washing your hair?

We can use antifungal shampoos. At present, the active ingredients of anti-fungal shampoos for dandruff are mainly the following four:

Piroctone olamine: As a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, it is extremely low in irritation and ideal for people with mild dandruff. And it’s not only antibacterial and anti-dandruff, it also helps reduce hair loss.

Zinc Pyrithione (ZPT): It effectively kills dandruff-causing fungi and is ideal for those with oily scalp and mild dandruff. Most of the anti-dandruff shampoos we can buy in the supermarket contain this ingredient.

Ketoconazole: It has a strong anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect, and has a strong inhibitory ability on dandruff. It can also eliminate symptoms such as head itching, and also has a therapeutic effect on seborrheic alopecia.

Selenium Disulfide: has antifungal and anti-seborrhea effects. It can be used to treat tinea versicolor, scalp seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, etc.
